This Sculptural Metal Lighting Fixture is not only a funky wall piece. It functions also as a quirky industrial style lampshade. Made from recycled and reclaimed scrap metal and golden vintage costume chains.
Whether you want to add some style and industrial quirkiness to your walls or as a unique lighting feature in a bar, pub or cafe. This reclaimed scrap metal sculpture is a unique combination of rust, vibrant colours and elegance with a hint of grunge and luxury.
The metal has undergone several processes that included adding and removing paints as well as rusting the material in order to achieve a ‘grungy’ and, at the same time, vibrant look. The backside has been processed to enhance the rustic look and has been gilded with gold leaves to create a beautiful contrast between rust and gold that almost reminds of archaeological finds.
Front and backside are sealed with metal lacquer creating a light gloss effect. The piece is very light, a golden hook is securely screwed to the back for easy and secure hanging.
A reclaimed golden chain is contouring the edge of the sculpture creating a striking contrast with the vibrant blues and the rust, giving the piece a luxurious, quirky and ‘punky’ feel at once.
A light bulb fitting will be attached where the bulb will be situated.

Please note:
The majority of my materials are recycled and reclaimed. My interest lies in corrosion and decay and the passing of time and combining those elements with colour and the shine of gold. Parts can show signs of wear, age and damage and are not in ‘perfect’ condition. It’s about the story that each piece carries with them.
