This Scrap Metal Pearl Chandelier/Metal Lampshade made by myself is is an eye-catching decorative accessory for your bar, pub or club but also domestic settings such as living room, bedroom, office or dining room and will complement any contemporary, modern, or transitional interior. A conversation piece, the gold painted metal captures and reflects the neon light and transforms the sculpture into a whole new and extraordinary kind of piece.

The sculpture hangs confidently on its own as a contemporary piece of 3D wall art but can also be used as a metal ‘lampshade’.

This Pearl golden Sculpture is made from post-consumer recycled steel,combined with vintage costume jewellery pearls. The metal has been cleaned, processed, primed and painted with high quality spray paints and gilded.

My work addresses ‘Beauty In The Broken’ although each metal part was processed as described, my emphasis lies in showcasing the story of the recycled metal and the ‘life it has lived’. ‘Blemishes’ such as scratches and marks are not masked, in fact, I am emphasizing these ‘flaws’ bringing the scrap metal back to life by using the cracks, dents, edges and rust to create interesting abstract shapes and colour compositions.
